About Us

Founded in 2018, Rosslyn is a collection of award-winning specialty coffee shops across the City of London. We set out to create something special: All the high standards and attention to detail of the great Australian Café, combined with all the warmth and hospitality of the great Irish pub! Our sites are now amongst the busiest in the world and bring together industry leaders from various fields to represent their work under one roof!

We believe that what we do matters. We’re a hospitality business built around contributing to everyone we come into contact with – our guests, our team, and our community. We understand that success means more when it’s shared, and that when you invest in the people around you, it comes back around.

Purpose of the Role

To own facilities, maintenance and statutory premises compliance across all Rosslyn sites — keeping our shops safe, well-maintained, and legally compliant. This role is supportive of company and operational goals so our managers can focus on running their shop, using the best equipment available to create exceptional experiences for more people by treating them well and serving great coffee at pace. Food safety, allergen management, and the EHO/Food Alert relationship sit outside this role's remit.

This is a hands-on management role: you'll own the process and the outcomes, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and Shop Managers — with no expectation to personally carry out repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Maintenance

  • Act as the single point of contact for maintenance activity across all sites
  • Maintain assets that are deemed business critical
  • Manage a preventative maintenance schedule that ensures SLA’s are met, and are completed to a standard that reduces reactive repairs and equipment downtime
  • Own and co-ordinate emergency maintenance responses, facilitating to ensure safety for our team and quick resolutions to any impact to business operations
  • Triage and prioritise maintenance requests, managing expectations and coordinating external contractors and engineers
  • Manage any contract tendering processes across both hard and soft FM service providers
  • Track maintenance spend and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Spot recurring equipment failures, identifying equipment that is Fit for Repair (FFR), striving for long-term fixes rather than repeat call-outs
  • Support new site openings, refurbishments, and equipment installations

Statutory Premises Compliance

  • Own statutory premises compliance across the estate
  • Plan and track statutory servicing and inspection schedules across the estate
  • Manage insurance-related inspections and remedial actions
  • Ensure contractor compliance for anyone working on-site
  • Maintain clear, audit-ready compliance records for each site
  • Flag and escalate compliance risks promptly, with recommended remediation plans

About You

  • Proven experience managing facilities and/or maintenance across multiple sites, ideally in hospitality, retail, or food & beverage
  • Current and in-depth knowledge of M&E and Soft Services
  • Solid working knowledge of statutory premises compliance requirements (fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos) — or a strong track record of getting up to speed quickly and working with specialist advisors where needed
  • Comfortable managing external contractors and holding them to account on cost, quality and compliance
  • Organised and proactive — you plan ahead rather than just reacting to what's urgent
  • Clear communicator, confident building relationships with Shop Managers and support teams across the business
  • Hands-on and practical, with a genuine interest in keeping busy, high-volume sites running smoothly
